"Inspiring students to love God, their Catholic faith and learning" | |
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and partnership in our educational journey at St. Peter Catholic School.
This season of gratitude holds a special significance as it reminds us of the incredible community we have built together in faith and learning. Your dedication to your children's education, active involvement in school activities, and continuous support of our staff contribute significantly to the nurturing environment we strive to create.
At St. Peter Catholic School, we cherish the values of faith, compassion, and togetherness. The collaboration between home and school fosters these values within our students. Your participation in Mass and active stewardship, with your encouragement of your child's spiritual growth, deeply enrich our school community.
We are immensely thankful for the trust you place in us to guide and educate your children academically and in their spiritual journey. Your support and partnership inspire us to create an environment that fosters not just intellectual growth but also spiritual and moral development.
This Thanksgiving, let us all reflect on the blessings in our lives and embrace the spirit of gratitude. May the faith-focused values we instill in our children continue to guide them on their path towards becoming compassionate and responsible individuals.
As we gather with loved ones to celebrate, may your hearts be filled with gratitude, peace, and joy.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Mrs. Gayle Trachsel, ED.S

My name is Cindy Hasty and I teach 5th grade. This is my 20th year in education and my 14th year at St. Peter Catholic School. My husband and I have three children. We recently celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary and welcomed grandbaby number two into the family. We belong to St. Andrew’s Parish in Holts Summit. I love playing the guitar and leading the congregation in prayerful songs during weekend masses. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in Agriculture. During and after college I worked predominantly in wheat and corn research. It’s an interesting story of how I became involved in teaching, but I am so glad I did. After working in special education for 6 years, a position opened at St. Peter. I was an aide for 7 years and then worked on my teacher certification. I am so glad I went down this path. I believe the Lord led me this way. I spend my free time with family, playing the guitar, hiking, and helping my husband with chores around our small farm.
