Florida Rural Health Association
Formed in 1992, the Florida Rural Health Association was created to provide a mechanism through which interested individuals and organizations in Florida could unite in advocacy for ensuring that all residents of rural Florida have access to a continuum of affordable healthcare. It is this common interest that binds the FRHA membership and has allowed the development of a common voice for rural health.
FRHA hosts an annual rural health summit, regular project ECHO webinars, and awards rural health heroes for their work in the state. On National Rural Health Day this year, FRHA will announce rural health heroes in the following categories: healthcare, healthcare administrator, mental health, community health, and health IT & informatics.
