Be Kind to Your Cemetery Neighbor
Our Lady has recently received calls from individuals concerned about neighboring plots infringing on their loved ones' burial spaces. Most plots at Our Lady are four feet by ten feet and ten inches. Please be respectful of your cemetery neighbor’s burial space when landscaping your “mini garden” for your loved one.
Any ornamentation on each space in the cemetery belongs to the family of the loved one. Please be mindful not to remove or disrupt any item on someone else's space. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not disturb any plot.
Our Lady’s Rules and Regulations were established to keep our cemetery pristine and lovely. Often, it is visiting family members or friends who are not aware of the cemetery’s policy. Please share and communicate these guidelines with them.
A BEAUTIFUL VISION – Rules & Regulations Addendum
Your loved one is resting in a place of natural beauty.
Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery & Prayer Garden was designed using the European model. Nick and Ellen Brumder heard the calling and conceived this dream in 2004, the year of the rosary. Pope John Paul II sent his blessing in a letter. This cemetery would be “natural” – reflecting the seasons of the year; each season showing its natural beauty: the dryness in Winter, the new beginnings of Spring, the brightness of Summer and the changing in the Fall. This is our life’s cycle too.
Hence, we are asking each family, their relatives, and friends to comply with the following. As a benefit, our grounds can be better maintained and when opening/closing graves there will be less damage to adjacent gravesites.
- NO Boarders including plants/flowers
- No Rocks
- EXCEPTION: Forest Garden can have Rock Borders and Rocks on the interior of the space
- NO Solar Lights
- No Yard Art (spinning birds, garden globes, etc.)

BIRTHDAYS
We invite you to celebrate your loved one’s birthday ON the day of his/her birth. Please use our picnic area located near the pond in the tree area behind the KIOSK Information Board. Happy Birthday helium balloons are permitted but will be removed once they become deflated.
The staff wants you to know that we care for your loved ones and their burial plots, and we ask for your thoughtfulness and understanding when we remove non-compliant items from the burial plots. We also understand death and grieving are difficult times for families, and we pray for your peace of mind and heart.
