The Rev. Dr. John E. Bird

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of The Rev. Dr. John E. Bird a former curate and interim priest at Christ Church. Fr. Bird died on Friday, June 28, 2024.
Fr. Bird's life will be commemorated with a viewing on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Christ Episcopal Church, 62 Delaware Street, Woodbury, NJ. The Rite of Christian Burial and Mass of the Resurrection will be held at Christ Church Woodbury on Saturday, July 6 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Christ Church Memorial Fund in Fr. Bird's memory.

Remember thy servant, John, according to the favor which thou bearest unto thy people; and grant that, increasing in knowledge and love of thee, he may go from strength to strength in the life of perfect service in thy heavenly kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
