Biography in Music - BENJAMIN BRITTEN

Dear  ,

We hope you can join us for an amazing theater-concert this weekend...

Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 3pm
The Academy of Vocal Arts

Britten would be 100 this weekend were he still with us.

But wait... he is! Don't miss this biographical "happening" as Lyric Fest brings you the vocal works, letters and fascinating life-story of Benjamin Britten, retold by a spectacular cast: William Ferguson, Kelly Ann Bixby and Jarrett Ott and with actor, Jim Bergwall and Laura Ward at the piano.

Britten composed music throughout most of his (short) 63 years of life. Inspired by his life-partner and musical collaborator, Peter Pears, and the poetry he loved, Britten dedicated most of his efforts to composing music for the voice. And, he cared deeply about connecting with you, his listeners.

We invite you to come make the music complete.

Reception to follow... Hope to see you there!

Suzanne, Randi and Laura
