Creating Confident Smiles!

As kids head back to classes, it’s important to make sure they have confidence in their smiles!

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® was able to give more than 40 kids that confidence during this year’s Smarts & Smiles Back to School Dental Care Fair at Nevada Health Centers' Martin Luther King Family Health Center.

One of our first patients was 4-year-old Angelina, who had never been to the dentist before. Angelina told us she was so excited to get her teeth cleaned before starting kindergarten!

Angelina’s mom, Angela, says she was thankful to be able to get her daughter’s teeth cleaned. “It was so wonderful as I’m currently out of work,” Angela said.

In addition to receiving dental treatment, each child got to pick out their very own backpack filled with school supplies.

Thank you to the Speedway Children’s Charities of Las Vegas for being the presenting sponsor for this year’s event!

"Home: Where Our Story Begins," will feature a brand-new event website modeled after the House That Love Built. Each 'page' of the website will represent a room in the House, and will include fun videos, family stories, and interactive activities for the whole family!

You'll be able to find our video program in the House lobby, which will highlight our House Honorees, a past House family, and the opportunity to donate to our Gift of Home.

We also have dozens of amazing prize packages to bid on in our Silent Auction, plus some exclusive, one-of-a-kind packages in our 'Super' Silent Auction! All donations will help provide a 'home away from home' for the families RMHC® serves.

CARES Act Expands Tax Deductions

for Charitable Giving

Did you know the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) created several opportunities for you to reduce your tax liability, while also helping support families at RMHC Las Vegas?

The legislation, which passed in late March, expanded charitable giving incentives for taxpayers. Here’s how:

You can now make up to $300 in charitable contributions, and deduct that amount on your 2020 taxes in addition to the standard deduction.
If you itemize, the legislation removed the income limitation for deducting charitable contributions, meaning there is no longer a limit on how much you can give!
Plus, the new law temporarily suspended required minimum distributions from your IRA for 2020.

COVID-19 House Updates

Throughout this pandemic, families in medical crisis can still rely on The House That Love Built for a safe and supportive place to stay.

For the past several months, and in coordination with local health partners and the Global RMHC team, we have slowly increased the maximum occupancy levels for individual family members, which continue to comply with social distancing requirements.

After Labor Day, we will be increasing program occupancy to 75% to allow us to serve more families under our roof.

COVID-19 Updates

RMHC Las Vegas' 2019 Impact Report is now available!

In 2019, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas housed 306 families for a total of 2,953 nights. The House was able to save families $391,627 in lodging costs, while allowing parents to remain by their child's bedside during their time of need.
