Let’s Get Going - OUTSIDE!!

We all know that as the weather gets warmer, and longer days start to prevail, it is an ideal time for all family members to venture outdoors. Naturally, springtime seems to improve our moods and lift our spirits, but when combined with playful activities, it is scientifically known to boost mental health. In fact, according to this article by the American Psychological Association, engaging in physical activities and games outdoors can significantly reduce stress and anxiety, enhance mood, and improve mental clarity for both adults and children. Whether it’s a game of tag in the park, a family hike on some local trails, or simply tossing a ball around in the yard, these moments of fresh air have been proven to increase the release of endorphins, often referred to as 'feel-good' hormones. So, after a quick peek at the weather this morning, I encourage you all to check out this article on outdoor adventures, close those laptops, turn off the Netflix, and take an hour or two to get outside this weekend! You will be glad you did; I promise! ~Mr. Ling
