From the Principal's Office
Hello Families,
As the weather gets warmer and wardrobe selections change, please keep the school's dress code in mind. Here is the language from the handbook as a reminder (I've bolded the point that we most frequently have to address):
The following apparel is not to be worn during the school day: caps, hats, and other headgear (not including hoods, which are included providing the student’s face is visible/not obstructed and the student is able to hear instruction); tank tops; clothing with offensive, vulgar, or racist language or pictures; tops that do not completely cover the mid-section; clothing that glorifies, encourages or promotes the use of alcohol or drugs, violence and weapons.
Students who violate this policy will be given an opportunity to correct the situation by either changing the clothing, removing the clothing (if appropriate), wearing it inside-out, or other means as determined by the principal so the student is in compliance with this policy. Students who repeatedly violate this policy may face more severe punishment, including detention, in-school suspension, or out-of-school suspension.
On another topic, I know many families are eager to know when graduation will be held. I expect to be able to announce a date for graduation before April vacation.
Have a wonderful weekend!
