Ensuring Safety at Dismissal

We understand that the parent pick up line can take quite a while and we appreciate your patience with our process that provides an orderly and safe dismissal from the courtyard. Some parents have expressed concerns regarding safety when students are dismissed as walkers and then walk to a car waiting in the parking lot. The concerns center around both students walking by and between cars in the pick up line as well as cars cutting through the line and going in the opposite direction through the narrow Bow Street entrance. We respectfully ask that parents who are picking up utilize the pick up line and follow our established procedures for dismissal.  Thank you!

Kindergarten News

During Week 2 of Kindergarten Kickstart, the fine motor group learned how to build and draw people. Children often draw “Mr. Potato Head” people. We now know our arms and legs don’t grow out of our heads. We can draw people the kindergarten way! Check out this link to hear the catchy tune “Mat man has one head…”

Mrs. Magnusson's Class wishes everyone a wonderful weekend!

School & Community Information

Northwood families, did you know that our town is part of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program? If you have a child ages birth to 5 and are a Northwood resident, you can sign them up. Each month an age appropriate book will mailed to your home to keep and enjoy. Your child’s personal library is generously sponsored by local businesses and individuals that understand the importance of early literacy. Without them none of this would be possible. If interested in being a sponsor please let us know.

We hope you and your child will enjoy story time resulting in a love of reading that will benefit them for years to come.  Follow this link to sign them up.
