Northern Gardener E-News food growing

Happy Earth Week from all of us at the Hort Society! This year, we're focusing on a simple but powerful way each of us can make a difference for the planet: growing our own food close to home. Whether it's basil on your windowsill, a tomato plant on your deck or a full vegetable garden in your yard, every little bit helps.

The team at MSHS is diving into this season with passion—each of us finding unique ways to grow something, no matter the size of our space. We're looking forward to not just easing our food budgets but also sharing what we grow with neighbors and those in our community who could use a little extra.

And we’ve got a treat for you! In celebration of Earth Day, we’re giving everyone access to our favorite food growing webinars at a reduced price. Each video in this series is packed with tips to help you grow more efficiently and sustainably. Watch them, share them and let’s grow together!

What will I be focusing on this growing season? Herbs and flowers! I love creating wildlife habitats and making beautiful and edible arrangements for my friends. This Earth Day, let’s nurture these seeds into full bloom, ensuring a bright, sustainable future for all.
