"I am deeply thankful to the North Allegheny School Board, Dr. Hyland, Dr. Dowell, and Mr. Deramo for this opportunity," said Mrs. Hudson. "During my time at NA, I've had the privilege of working with dedicated teachers, staff, students, and families at the elementary level, witnessing the strong foundation built to prepare our students for middle school. I am excited to now be part of our students' journey at the middle school level and to help continue fostering their learning. I also want to thank the Hosack students, families, and staff for the great honor of being part of their community. Hosack is an amazing school, and I know it will continue to do great things for our students."

Prior to her time at North Allegheny, Mrs. Hudson started her career in the Canon-McMillan School District, where she taught kindergarten and fifth and sixth-grade learning support before teaching the first Autistic Support Classroom in the district. She later became the Coordinator of Elementary Education for the Carlynton School District and was eventually appointed Principal of Carnegie Elementary School at Carlynton.

Mr. Matt Heckmann is taking over as the new Principal at Hosack Elementary following Mrs. Hudson's departure for IMS.

Mr. Heckmann has been with the North Allegheny School District for ten years. He first joined NASD as an instructional technology integrator in 2014. Before his time at North Allegheny, Mr. Heckmann was a sixth-grade teacher in Fairfax, Virginia. He is pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership at Duquesne University and anticipates graduating in the Summer of 2025.

“I want to thank the North Allegheny Board of Directors and Executive Council for this opportunity," said Mr. Heckmann. I have been fortunate to work alongside the incredible students, families, and staff members of North Allegheny for the past ten years, and I look forward to continuing our pursuit of excellence. As a graduate of North Allegheny, I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving this great school district, which has profoundly impacted my life. I am so excited to start working with the amazing learning community at Hosack Elementary.”
