Impact100 MD Visits Dutton Farm
On September 7, Dutton Farm invited I100 MD members for a visit. We met some amazing people, bonded with some really cute animals, checked out their product line of natural soaps and other goodies, and heard all about the timeline for the greenhouse they will be building with our grant dollars. They will be able to grow fresh produce that will help provide healthy options for those who really need them. Watch a cool video of the visit HERE.

The Wave Project
There's still time to get in on our second grantee visit for this year. We have been invited to attend a mobile shower event with The Wave Project on September 30th from 9 - 11 am at the First United Methodist Church on S. Gratiot in Mt. Clemens. See how this nonprofit is really making an impact for those without access to a shower. Click HERE to register for this special event.

Zaman International Founder Najah Bazzy
Named USA Today Women of the Year Michigan Honoree
| |
|
Many of our grantees have gone on to receive national honors for their work. Downtown Boxing Gym Founder and CNN Hero awardee Kahli Sweeney, and the Empowerment Plan Founder and John F. Kennedy New Frontier Award recipient Veronika Scott were the first two. Najah Bazzy, Founder and CEO of Zaman International, has several awards to her name. The latest came from the USA Today back in March. Click the photo at left to read the article. Congratulations, Najah!
Najah is also a huge supporter of Impact100, and especially Impact100 Metro Detroit. Here's what she had to say in a recent blog post: "When Zaman made its first significant efforts toward securing major grant funding in 2017, Impact100 Metro Detroit and Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan were two of the first organizations to invest in the growth of our mission. Their support has been critical to building out our vocational training and workforce development programming and putting our clients on successful career pathways." Najah is pictured at right with Impact100 Global Founder Wendy Steele.
