It's Grant Review Time!

Five Focus Area committees are busy reviewing a record number of grant applications this year. We are grateful to our many volunteers. Through their hard work, we know we will bring forward the best projects for our membership to vote on at our Big Give this coming May.

The WAVE Project Launches New ADA Shower Van

2023 grant awardee The WAVE Project proudly announced the launch of its new ADA compliant van. Those with disabilities, whether they are homeless or unable to use the shower in their own home due to mobility issues, can now get the help they need. Watch the video below. Dutton Farm Greenhouse Update

Dutton Farm, also a 2023 grant awardee, has made tremendous progress on their greenhouse. They announced its arrival on their Facebook page back in the fall. At that time had just arrived from the UK in pieces. Here's what they said at the time: 'It’s home! What a stunning addition to the farm. We can’t wait to get our hands into the soil and grow fresh vegetables to share with our community. Thank you Hartley Botanic and Impact100 Metro Detroit for bringing this dream to life!" Now fully assembled, the greenhouse is well on its way to completion.

LifeBuilders Completes New Community Kitchen

Here's what they said. "We are absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news from the heart of our mission here at LifeBuilders in Detroit. After months and months of delays the kitchen in our newest building has been completed, inspected, and is now ready to play a crucial role in nourishing both body and spirit." Downtown Boxing Gym Receives National Award

From their website: "The Downtown Boxing Gym is thrilled to announce we have received a 2023 Library of Congress Literacy Award. The “American Prize” is awarded to one organization in the United States each year for making a significant and measurable contribution to increasing literacy levels in the U.S. The prize includes a cash award of $50,000." Accent Pontiac Announces Benefit Concert

On March 10, 2025, Accent Pontiac will host its annual fundraising concert. This year's concert is "Music for the Soul". It will be held at the Flagstar Strand Theater in Pontiac. Purchase tickets on their website.

Hope Against Trafficking Hosts Kentucky Derby Fundraiser

This Pontiac-based nonprofit provides a safe haven for victims of human trafficking as they begin to rebuild their lives. Impact100 Metro Detroit members have spent time with the organization and appreciate all that they do. Their annual fundraiser is coming up on May 4, 2024. Tickets available here.
