In just 24 hours, our friends and neighbors raised more than $17.2 million in unrestricted funding to the 724 nonprofits that took part in the 2024 Giving Challenge, affirming the appreciation our community has for the transformative work you do.
Of the total, more than $6.7 million was contributed by our partners at The Patterson Foundation through their generous 1:1 match, which inspires giving and accounts for a significant amount of Giving Challenge fundraising through the years. Read more about Giving Challenge results here.

Data gives us the opportunity to better understand the lives of all our community members. It helps us be data-informed, inclusive, and equitable in the ways we seek to increase child and family well-being as part of a strategic 2Gen-informed approach.
Join us for a training on the Community Indicators Dashboard. The Dashboard provides insights for philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, businesses, government, and learning institutions to guide informed decisions utilizing data from reputable sources set in local context.
What You'll Learn:
- Dashboard data points, interactive charts, maps and visualizations related to county profiles, education, economy, health, and housing
- How to utilize the Dashboard for program and service development, grant applications, building awareness with stakeholders, research, content development and more
- How to download content and embed them to reports, communications or grant applications

Food Justice for Kids

Newman’s Own Foundation envisions the United States as a country where all children have access to nutritious, culturally relevant foods; learn about healthy foods and sustainable food systems; and have opportunities to grow, gather, and cook food and be nourished physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
To help nourish and transform the lives of children who face adversity in the U.S., Newman’s Own Foundation is launching the Food Justice for Kids Prize, focused on two priority program areas: (1) Indigenous Food Justice and (2) Nutrition Education and School Food.

GoodUse Grants by Southface
Apply by June 14

GoodUse helps nonprofits reduce utility costs and reinvest those savings into their programs. Southface provides technical assistance and education while partnering foundations provide matching grants to nonprofit partners, applying them to facility and operational upgrades that increase resource efficiency, lower expenses and improve indoor health.

Impact100 SRQ

Founded in 2018, Impact100 SRQ brings together a diverse group of women that annually fund transformational grants to local nonprofits in both Sarasota and Manatee Counties.
The grant application eligibility form for the Impact100 SRQ 2024 grant process is now open. Eligibility forms are due by July 8th and the grant application is due by July 17 at 12 noon. Organizations apply in one of the five focus areas: Arts, Culture & History; Education; Environment & Recreation; Family; or Health & Wellness.
