Athena Giving Circle Grants

Apply by October 10, 2024


Athena Progressive Giving Circle will award up to $29,750 to support a program for K-5 grade girls that promotes early learning and greater self-reliance, self-esteem, and self-advocacy. Athena is seeking to fund an effective and sustainable project — existing or new, tried-and-true or innovative —that will address young girls and their budding sense of self-worth.


The application is now open with a submission deadline of 5:00pm, Thursday, October 10, 2024.

Capacity Building Grants

Apply by October 15, 2024


Capacity Building grants help improve a nonprofit's ability to fulfill its mission by strengthening its capacity. Capacity strengthening areas include data gathering, evaluation, learning, assessment, advocacy, planning, fundraising, leadership, and emergency needs.


The application deadline for this grant cycle is October 15, 2024. Future grant cycles for the current fiscal year open on the following dates:

  • November 1, 2024
  • February 1, 2025
  • May 1, 2025

MCF Grants

Apply by October 1, 2024


Manatee Community Foundation's Grant Cycle 1 is now open for applications. The committee prioritizes grants that serve Manatee County and address needs in the arts, human services, education, animal welfare, environmental stewardship, civic engagement, and health.


The deadline to apply is October 1, 2024. Applicants will know the status of their application by October 31, 2024.

Small & Mighty Grants

Opens October 1, 2024


Three times a year, the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation awards “Small and Mighty” grants.


Organizations with budgets of $300,000 or less that primarily serve Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties can apply.


The third cycle of the year opens October 1, 2024 and closes November 1, 2024.
