Nominate a local business for a City award

Support your favorite local business and let them shine in the spotlight they deserve by nominating them for a City business recognition award!

The City is seeking nominations for Sierra Vista businesses to receive special recognition before the Sierra Vista City Council as part of an awards program launched last year by the City's Economic Development Commission.

The commission will review the nominations and select awardees annually for each of the following national business recognition weeks:

·        Minority Enterprise Development Week (Sept.15–23, 2024)

·        Women’s Business Week (Oct. 13–19, 2024)

·        Veterans Small Business Week (Oct. 27–Nov. 2, 2024)

·        National Small Business Week (April 28–May 4, 2024)

To be considered for recognition, nominations for all categories must be received by Friday, July 12. Eligible businesses must be located in the City of Sierra Vista, have an active City business license, and be a for-profit business in good standing (with no outstanding taxes or fees). Residents are encouraged to nominate for all categories that the business represents.

The selected awardees will be presented with a wooden certificate plaque following a short presentation at the City Council meeting scheduled closest to the designated recognition week. They will also be featured in a business spotlight article shared on the City’s website, in the City’s weekly email newsletter, and on social media. Learn more.
