Kiss of the Spider Woman

A Noise Within’s production of this iconic story is utterly beautiful and carefully crafted. The performances by Adrián González and Ed F. Martin as Molina and Valentin are absolutely flawless, and their earnest and authentic relationship is tenderly told. The direction by Michael Michetti feels invisible, which is perfect of course. He seems to have given these fine actors the space they need to breathe into their roles.

Moose on the Loose

When a loose moose wanders into town holding a Molson Canadian beer and gets stuck in the Polish neighbor’s camper trailer, four generations of an Italian/Canadian immigrant family from Calabria soon realize the moose isn’t the only one who is stuck, displaced, and confused. The play touches on the immigrant experience, and the desire to preserve the traditions of the Old Country while colliding with those from other cultures.

Run for Your Wife

This play is very well done. Theatre Palisades has assembled the perfect cast of actors to do their utmost with the English accents and to playfully frolic through this classic farce with no apologies and with fast, furious fun.  They were lucky enough to cast an actual Brit, Christopher Aruffo, in the lead role of John. He happily sets the level of comedy at high, and the rest of the really wonderful cast easily meets it.
