Voting precinct changes aimed at reducing long-wait lines and balancing the number of voters has increased the precincts in Cranberry Township from 9 to 11. Please review the new precincts at link below. The next election is November 7, 2023.
October is Fire Safety Month, and with the end of Daylight Savings Time fast approaching, the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company is urging residents to replace the batteries in their smoke alarms.
Install smoke alarms on every level of a home, inside bedrooms, and outside sleeping areas on the ceiling or high on the wall
Keep smoke alarms away from the kitchen, at least 10 feet from the stove, to reduce false alarms
Use special alarms with strobe lights and bed shakers for people who are hard of hearing or deaf
Test smoke alarms monthly
Replace batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide every six months
Replace smoke alarms that are 10 or more years old
POLICE TAKE-BACK DRUG EVENT
The annual Drug Take-Back Event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 28 in the rear parking lot of the Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road. It offers a safe way to dispose of unused, unwanted, or expired medications.
Also during this same time, date, & location, the Cranberry Lions Club is collecting unused eyeglasses. The group has raised thousands of dollars through their collections. All collected monies are donated to non-profit organizations including Leader Dogs for the Blind and the Butler Blind Association. The members have collected over 37,000+ pairs of glasses and have been distributed worldwide.
A colorful display celebrating the Deepavali festival of lights will soon beam inside the Cranberry Township Municipal Center.
Community members will create a Rangoli, a traditional piece of Indian art, beginning at 6 p.m. Monday, November 6 in the Municipal Center Square. Members of the Cranberry Township Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Advisory (IDEA) Team are hosting the event.
PICKLEBALL BLOWS UP
It was a busy time in Graham Park, and it's about to get busier. With a technician from Yeadon Fabric Domes leading the charge, crews from the Public Works Department prepped the new pickleball courts for installation of the 8,000-pound dome structure. More than 50 staff members and volunteers helped unfurl the dome before it was blown up.
Yard waste collection runs from late March until early December on regular collection days. Click the above graphic for more information!

The Leaf Angel Program matches dedicated volunteers with Cranberry Township residents who are unable to rake and collect leaves during the leaf collection season. Volunteers are needed!
