Important News
Because of the incoming ice storm, the Fremont Highway Department needs your cooperation and is asking you not to park on the roads. We want our residents, your cars and our plow drivers to be as safe as possible. If you see a neighbor parking on the road please let them know we need them off the road.

Report An Outage To ComEd
You can report your electric outage online, including on your smart phone or tablet. If you prefer, call them 24/7 at 1-800-EDISON-1 (1-800-334-7661)

You can quickly and easily report your outage via text message, mobile app or ComEd Facebook app. Online services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Listen To Lake County Radio Station For Emergency Information
Tune in to 1620 AM. Highway Advisory Radio 1620 AM communicates real time traffic information directly to Lake County motorists. Broadcast information includes location of delays due to crashes, construction and extreme traffic congestion to help motorists in planning their commute.
Did you know you can view camera images, and condition of roads at intersections through the the Lake County Division of Transportation Passage Page? Check  Lake County PASSAGE  for real-time, local traffic information. Through PASSAGE you can also sign up for   email traffic alerts ,   twitter alerts , and  smartphone apps .
In the Layer Options menu, choose "Cameras", then click on the camera image to see what is happening at the intersection you want to see. This can help you plan your route home. Throughout snow season you can also find information on  LCDOT's Facebook Page .
Things To Keep In Your Car
Are you prepared for an emergency? How many of these items do you have in your car?

3. Battery powered radio and extra batteries
4. Water and snack food 
5. First aid kit with pocket knife
6. Extra hats, socks, mittens, and blankets
7. Tow chain, rope, and booster cables
8. Road salt and sand
9. Necessary medications
10. Emergency flares
11. Cell Phone Charger

Eligible residents of Fremont Township have access to two Pace Dial a Ride services.

Donate Diapers to Fremont Township
We accept diaper donations for children and adults. If you have diapers you are no longer in need of, please consider donating them to Fremont Township. We do accept open bags.

If you have used towels, sheets or blankets that need to be recycled, bring them to Fremont Township to be donated to local Animal Shelters and Rescues.

Bring your American Flag to Fremont Township to ensure it is disposed of properly.

Did you know 85 percent of clothing ends up in the landfill? Bring your new, gently used, and used clothing to be reused or recycled.
