Fitness Schedule: Holiday Hours

On December 24th, The X Center will be open 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (no tot drop and no group ex classes). The X Center will be closed on December 25th. On December 26th, The X Center will be open normal hours (no tot drop and no group ex classes).

On December 31st, The X Center will be open 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (no tot drop and no group ex classes). The X Center will be closed on January 1st. On, January 2nd, The X Center will be open normal hours with normal operations.

Please excuse our mess! The park is now closed until construction is complete!

We thank you for your patience as we finish this project and look forward to our community's first inclusive playground!

Toddler Time at The X Center

On Wednesdays, now through May 10th, join us at The X Center for Toddler Time beginning at 10:30 am! The program will feature activities like animal encounters (2nd Wednesday of each month), arts and crafts, book readings, sensory bins, dance parties, and open gym. The fee is $3 per person and kids 1 and under are free. 

Father Daughter Dance:

Sponsored by Mac Dental

Join Nixa Parks and Recreation and our event sponsor, Mac Dental, for the annual Father Daughter Dance! Dance the night away while enjoying light refreshments activities, and a picture to remember the evening!

Date: Friday, February 10th, 2023, 6 - 8:30 pm.

Location: The X Center

Registration: Pre-registration will end February 9th: Members $25, Nixa Residents $30, Non-Residents $35. Day of registration will begin on February 10th: Members $30, Nixa Residents $35, Non-Residents $40. The registration fee includes admission for one adult and one child. Each additional child is $10. 

Recreational Soccer

Recreational Soccer is geared towards introducing and fostering interest in soccer. Emphasis is on learning the game and having fun. The league is open to boys and girls; it is comprised of 5 different divisions, 3&4 years old, 5 years old and Kindergarten, 1st/2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, and 6th – 8th grade. Games for every division are on Saturday morning/afternoons.

Season Dates: Saturday, March 25th - April 29th

Open To: The program is open to boys and girls ages 3 years old (must be 3 by March 25th) to 8th grade.

Location: Games are played at McCauley Park and practices are held at Rotary Park.

Fees: Members $42, Nixa Residents $47, Non-Residents $55.

Registration: Ends February 15th, 2023. *Late registration from February 16th - 19th with a $10 additional late fee. 

Recreational Volleyball

Recreational Volleyball is geared towards introducing and fostering girls 3rd through 6th grade an interest in volleyball. Emphasis is on learning the game and having fun. 

Season Dates: March 20th/21st through April 17th/18th. 3rd/4th grade plays on Monday evenings; 5th/6th grade plays on Tuesday evenings. The season ending tournament will be on Saturday, April 22nd.

Open To: The program is open to girls in 3rd - 6th grade.

Location: Games will be played and practices will be held at The X Center.

Fees: Members $42, Nixa Residents $47, Non-Residents $55.

Registration: Ends February 15th, 2023. *Late registration from February 16th - 19th with a $10 additional late fee. 

Flag Football

Recreational Flag Football is designed as an introduction to the sport, to build on skills, and to foster an interest in football. Participants will learn the basic skills and concepts of the game.

Season Dates: Saturday, March 25th with the six-game season

ending April 29th.

Open To: The program is open to boys and girls 3rd-6th grade.

Location: Games will be played and practices will be held at Rotary Park

Fees: Members $42, Nixa Residents $47, Non-Residents $55.

Indoor Garage Sale

The Indoor Garage Sale will take place on Saturday, February 25th, 2023, from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm. Entrance is FREE to the public.

Registration for booth spaces begins December 1st. Space is

limited—please register early! A 10x10 space is $20. Tables are available for $5 per table.

The X Center reserves the right to refuse any item inappropriate for sale in this event. No concession items allowed.  

NASP: National Afterschool Archery Program

NASP Afterschool Archery Program follows the mission and guiding principles set by NASP. This program has a Beginner Class open to anyone, 4th - 12th grade, interested in learning archery. It also has an Open Shoot class open to anyone, 4th - 12th grade, who has successfully completed the Beginner Class. All equipment will be provided. Genesis Bows and Easton 1820 arrows. No other equipment is allowed.

Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays for 3-weeks. 

Session 1: January 23rd - February 8th

Session 2: October 16th - November 1st

Session 3: November 6th - November 20th

(make up class for November 22nd on the 27th)

Times: Beginner Class: 4 pm - 4:45 pm; Open Shoot Class 5 pm - 5:45 pm (must complete Beginner Class prior to enrollment).

Open To: The program is open anyone 4th - 12th grade.

Location: The X Center

Fees: Per Session. Members $22, Nixa Residents $25, Non-Residents $27. 

Registration: Begins January 2nd and ends the Thursday prior to the session date or until maximum capacity.
