Reminders & Updates

Keep in mind, businesses are still able to require masks. Masks are still encouraged when unable to maintain social distance in public.
Have fun, be safe!

REMINDER: You must have a driver's license in order to operate any motorized vehicle on any city street. Nixa Police have recently noticed several instances of children operating motorized vehicles on streets, and this presents a danger to them and the public.

ANOTHER REMINDER: If your zippy zoom zoom toy doesn't have a license plate, it can't be used on any city streets even within residential neighborhoods because such vehicles (Side by sides, dirt bikes, ATVs, mini bikes, pocket bikes, motor scooters, etc.) don't meet state safety requirements. The only exception to this rule is golf carts, if you get a permit from City Hall (learn more below).

If your home or business has an in-ground sprinkler system or fire suppression system, be sure to have your back-flow prevention device tested by July 1st.

Working For You

The James River Basin Partnership (JRBP) will reimburse Christian County residents up to $300 for installing a rain barrel system.

If you normally park your semi-truck in a residential area and wish to continue to do so, you MUST get a permit by June 30.
The 1 million gallon storage tank at the top of our new water tower helps provide additional water storage and system pressure to accommodate future growth in south Nixa.
