PROJECT UPDATES

Nixa Aquatics Center Pool Renovation

Work has begun to repair the pool! We are hoping for a reopening date in early June 2024, if construction goes as planned. Stay tuned!

Pool Updates

Cherry Street Stormwater

Cherry Street will remain closed until mid-April. The project will consist of removing the current roadway between 303 & 305 East Cherry Street to install new stormwater piping. Following the installation, new asphalt will be added. This is the second phase of the project which will provide stormwater improvements from Rice Street to North Street.

This project is designed to fix flooding problems through an old area of town from North St. south to John Thomas School of Discovery (JTSD). Completion for the current phase of this project is projected for Summer 2024.

Route 160 & CC Intersection Improvements

MoDOT is working to improve intersections along U.S. Route 160. This project focuses on the intersection at Rt. 160 and Route CC north of Nixa. MoDOT has broke ground on improvements.
