ACD Flip-A-Thon & Bring a Friend Day

Hello Parents, Divers, Supporters, and Alumni,

We're excited to invite you to dive into a fun-filled event for a fantastic cause - our 2024 Flip-A-Thon & Bring a Friend Day! Please join us on Saturday, May 18th from 11am to 2pm at the ACDJ Dryland Facility for some flipping fun.

While we were fortunate enough to replace our foam floor with a brand new spring floor at the beginning of April, some of our other equipment is also nearing time for replacement. Our fundraising goal this year is $10,000 in effort to help replace our aging pit mats for our dryboards.

This is not a mandatory event however we highly encourage ALL divers to participate. Our dryland facility is utilized by all team members! These upgrades will benefit the entire team in providing the most safe equipment possible. If you’re unable to join us, you can still help by raising funds through flat donations.

2024 ACD Flip-A-Thon Equipment Fundraiser

How it Works:

Prior to the event, divers will reach out to family, friends, neighbors, teachers, local businesses, etc. and collect pledges per flip (i.e. $.10 to $1.00 or more per flip) or flat donations.

Using the pledge sheet (attached or receive one from your coach), you will log the pledge or donation amount as well as their contact information.

Time to Flip:

At 12:00pm, divers will have two (2) hours to complete as many flips as possible using the dryboards, trampolines, and floor.

Our divers who are unable to perform flips at this time will still be able to participate as we will have designated skills at various increments that will equal a flip.

At 2:00pm, divers will stop doing flips and tally their results.

Collecting Pledges:

At the completion of the event, coaches will certify the diver’s flip totals and receive a certificate of completion to show their donors.

Divers will have one week after the event to collect all pledges and donations and bring them to the coaches.

Top Three (3) fundraisers!

Spectators, Concessions, Awards, Apparel

  • Friends and Family are more than welcome to hang out in the lobby of the dryland and observe the event through the viewing windows.

  • We plan to have food for sale including main entrees, sides, drinks, and sweets.

  • Top Three Fundraisers will receive prizes that could include Team Chamois, Team Towel, Free Private Lesson, Gift Cards, and more.

  • Team Apparel will be on display with links available for orders through The Gifted Boutique (see link below to check out our online store/purchase apparel).

  • Raffles for Gift Baskets and a 50/50 Raffle at 1:45pm!

Bring A Friend Day Membership Drive

One hour prior to the Dive-A-Thon we will be hosting a

Bring A Friend Day!

Divers can invite their friends to join us for some flipping fun in the dryland at 11am. The cost is $20 per friend. Friends must register with ACD through Club Assistant and select the Bring A Friend Day registration option. 

Prior to the event, they must also register with the AAU as well as print and sign the ACD Waiver. Printed membership card and waivers must be provided before being allowed in the dryland facility. 

They are more than welcome to stay, watch, and support their friends during the Flip-A-Thon event as well as enjoy the food, participate in the raffles, and 50/50!

AAU Membership

in the Bring A Friend Day event.

  • All athletes and coaches must have a current 2023/24 AAU Membership before registering online. The athlete’s fee is $14.
  • IMPORTANT: Please bring a copy of your AAU Membership to the dryland.
  • AAU membership is not included as part of the entry fee to the event.
  • AAU Youth Athlete membership must be obtained before the event begins except where the event operator has a laptop available with an internet connection. Be Prepared: Adult and Non Athlete memberships are no longer instant and cannot be applied for at an event. Please allow 10 days for membership to be processed.
  • Participants are encouraged to visit the AAU web site to obtain their membership.
