MEET NATHALIE RUIZ, NEW
SAN FERNANDO VALLEY COMMUNITY NAVIGATOR
Nathalie is mom to 6-year-old twins both with Down Syndrome. She tries to keep her kids involved with various activities such as dance, soccer, baseball and surfing. While they had a difficult beginning full of health scares, both kids have far exceeded the expectations set on them by the very outdated knowledge of the genetics professionals they met. Nathalie says, " This is why I am so happy to be working for FFRC, I can help other parents find the resources and programs that can help them, and their children surpass any limitations set on them. I hope to be able to help other parents find relief from some of the stressful parts this journey brings." In her very rare free time she likes to listen to music, dance, bake, and read a good book.

MEET CRISTAL ORDONEZ, OUR NEW
SANTA CLARITA VALLEY COMMUNITY NAVIGATOR
Cristal joins the Navigator program this month. She has 4 kids, two that are neurotypical and her two younger kids, who are both on the autism spectrum. Cristal is a busy mom, always on the move advocating for her kids. She loves being able to help other parents who are having similar experiences and letting them know that they are not alone. Cristal enjoys watching crime shows, and likes to dance. Welcome Cristal!
