Representative Meschino Announces Caucus to End and Prevent Homelessness with Rep. Jim Hawkins
This month, I launched the Caucus to End and Prevent Homelessness with my colleague Representative Jim Hawkins of Attleboro. This Caucus is a bipartisan coalition of Massachusetts legislators from across the Commonwealth who will engage to learn and discuss best practices for reducing and ending homelessness. United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley will serve as a facilitator and thought partner when the caucus convenes.

I am also advancing homelessness prevention efforts in the Legislature with the filing of An Act to create and implement a Massachusetts flexible supportive housing subsidy pool program (HD.216), which would establish a nimble pot of funds to help support the creation of housing programs that will assist homeless people facing medical challenges and disabilities.

Rep. Meschino Honored as Legislator of the Year by MA Marine Trades Association
Last month, I was selected as the Massachusetts Marine Trades Association 2022 Legislator of the Year. Commercial boating, recreational boating, and all allied businesses remain healthy sources of local jobs for our Bay State economy, and we value our maritime economy as a cornerstone of culture, heritage, and pride on the South Shore.

Thank you to MMTA President Cherie Rudzinsky, Executive Director Randall Lyons, and the MMTA for this honor and for their continued support provided to boaters across the Commonwealth.
