Organizing for Election
Success In 2022

It was November 13, 2022. Governor Elect Glenn Youngkin was recapping the stunning election wins across Virginia in 2021, and per usual, he was excited! He described Virginia coming back together, choosing to go a different direction, a renewal of Virginia Spirit. In inspiring rhetoric, he spoke of “building forward … a continuation of our collective commitment … an unwillingness to lose what we gained.”

He powerfully proclaimed that Democracy is Not a spectator sport. Looking across the cheering audience he spoke eloquently about the “Power of One.” One person, standing up for Freedom, doing something extra can make a difference. He added further emphasis, indicating what we’ve done is not a snapshot but a motion picture of Virginians in perpetual motion, remaining engaged with collective commitment to a Virginia we thought was lost.

Vietnam Reflections
Lost Soldiers Remembered

Serving in France until March 1967, I was late in getting to Vietnam. Following France, we moved to Fort Lee for the Quartermaster Officers Advance Course. My classmates had just returned from Vietnam or were slated to go. Arriving in Vietnam in April 1968, I reported into the Replacement Company at Long Binh – home to US Army Vietnam (USARV), near Saigon. Awaiting assignment, I called a sandbagged tent adjacent to the wire – home.

Can You Honestly Say
Things Are Better?
How fortunate we are that our founders included a process within our form of government allowing the nation to change course when needed.  With the mid-terms upon us and the presidential election on the horizon, it’s time to take stock of where we are headed as a nation. While voting is the ultimate instrument determining the direction of the country, you don’t have to wait until election day to advocate for change.
When bad policies lead to bad decisions that result in bad outcomes, you ought to be voicing your opinion to your elected officials, volunteering with like-minded individuals to transform sentiment into action, and in the end, show up to vote.

Read below to voice, volunteer, and vote.
Voice - Sound Off
It should be a foregone conclusion that lawmakers act in the best interests of their constituents. If they don't, you should demand to know why.

Lacking any direction from constituents, legislators may follow the loudest voices - even if they're detrimental or outside the mainstream.

Don't let the fringe dominate the narrative or the direction of the nation. Write your congressmen often to both approve or critique their activities.
Volunteer - Force Multiplying
Harnessing voter sentiment and turning that sentiment into action to bring about change during the Virginia gubernatorial election was largely possible through the work of volunteers.

As we approach the mid-terms, the time to volunteer is upon us on a grand scale. We are organizing members and volunteers to help coordinate candidate support at the Congressional District and local levels.

We are focusing on "Get Out the Vote" activities, event and media support, and digital advertising.

Our volunteers and coordinators will be armed with the best data, timely information, and necessary media to get the job done both efficiently and effectively.

Planning has begun and we need you now. Click on the button to the right to volunteer.
