Dear Community members, 

Asslamualikkum, 

ICN would like to invite members of our community to join sub-committees to familiarize themselves with the subcommittee's duties and to build personal experience. It will be a way for ICN to evolve in its programs and leadership. And above all will serve as a source of reward from Allah. May Allah grant us the honor of serving Him and His religion until the end of our time.  

We are looking for volunteers to serve on subcommittees or to lead a specific project that you would like to see implemented at ICN. This will be a great opportunity to work together with the current EC in transition and get experience in leadership roles at ICN. Term of this commitment is only for a few months until the next ICN elections. 

If you are interested to join the ICN 12 South sub-committees or have questions about responsibilities and time commitments, please fill the Form Below as soon as possible.

Sisters, Young professionals, and College students are highly encouraged to join these leadership roles!

Halal Investing Educational Program & Discussion

ICN will be having a halal investing educational program and discussion on

Friday, January 21st.

The presenters/speakers will be:

• Sheikh Ossama Bahloul on the "Overview on investing from the Islamic point of view and importance of maintaining key principles". 
• Dr. Zaid Barzinji on the "Basics of Good Halal Financial Investments & Decisions: What are our stock market options?"

Dr. Zaid Barzinji is the Executive Director of the Maqasid Institute Maqasid.org and a member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, ICN Board Member, and NIA Board President.

He sits on the boards of several non-profit organizations and is actively involved in community development projects. 

Zaid obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Utah and BS in Islamic Economics from The International Islamic University Malaysia
