Dear St. Alphonsus Families,
It looks like the nice spring weather might finally be here to stay! We have been enjoying lots of beautiful days and some rain lately. Here are some brief updates for this week:
First, a couple of lunch reminders:
- Next week Wednesday, May 22 is our next pizza lunch. You can find details and an order form below, but these are due back THIS Wednesday, May 15.
- In addition, Friday, May 24 will be a bag lunch day! Our Cougar Cafe staff will not be in the building, so please plan to pack your students a lunch that day.
If you have a student entering 3K, 4K, or 5K next year, please consider joining us for this week's Kindergarten Roundup! Families were invited via email but you can also check out the details below.
Please also make plans to join us for the State of the School on Thursday, May 23 at 6:00pm in the Community Room. You can find more details below, and we hope to see you there!
Finally, please be sure to check out all the great stuff happening in the last week or so in this week's newsletter. The parish auction & egg drop were both great successes, and we are looking forward to hosting the toy drive with the Girl Scouts, which starts today! You can also find some spring updates for SCRIP and some fun local and parish events.
Have a fantastic week!
Best regards,
Ms. Parey, Principal
Mrs. Schermetzler & Mrs. Bruhn, Leadership Team

Spring Concert Videos
Congratulations to our 4th & 5th Grade Students who did so well at our spring concert recently! Both grades worked hard these last few months to prepare on their instruments (recorders, ukuleles, etc.) and spent a lot of time learning to sing the songs. The hard work paid off!
If you were not able to make it to our concert, you can watch the videos at this link here.

Middle School Minutes: Egg Drop
Last Friday was the Middle School Egg Drop!
This is always a highly anticipated project for our middle school students. 6th & 7th grade students had to create receptacles to hold a raw egg, which was then dropped from extreme heights with help from the Greendale Fire Department. Students also did egg toss games and more, and 8th grade was able to participate as well.
It was a beautiful day for it!

Thank You for Attending the Parish Auction!
The parish auction was this past Friday and it was a great success!
Thank you so much to those of you who attended, but also those of you who donated items for the auction, sponsored anything, bought an ad, or participated online by bidding in our Silent Auction. We could not have put on this event without all of our generous donors & sponsors, and we are so thankful for all of you.
Thank you again so much!
We loved Rolling out the Red Carpet with you!

The Girl Scouts of St. Alphonsus are organizing a toy drive for the “Magic Room” at the Ronald McDonald House at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
This all-school Girl Scout project will help children and their families who are dealing with a serious illness. Children are able to pick a toy of their choice in the “Magic Room” to make their stay a little brighter. Illness affects the whole family and your donation can help with coping, distraction and comfort.
The collection will be from May 13th to May 17th. Donations can be dropped at the Ronald McDonald box in front of the main office in the hallway. New toys only, please. Thanks in advance for supporting St. Alphonsus Girl Scouts & the Ronald McDonald House!

St. Al's Youth Ministry Sunday Scriptures
Want a good game of kickball? Want some ice cream?
Want to grow closer to Jesus while combining kickball and ice cream (well, not at the same time, that would be dangerous)?
St. Al's Youth Ministry is offering an opportunity for kids entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade in the fall to come play a game of kickball. Afterwards join us for some ice cream and brief reading of the Sunday Scriptures.
Want to know more? Fill out this google form and Miss Karen will be in touch with you!
We also do need some volunteers to help chaperone... so if you are interested in that, please check out the link or email Karen. Thank you!
