As a reminder, the outdoor pools will be open from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and all outdoor swim lessons will proceed as scheduled. There is no summer camp on July 4th. | | |

Save the Date - Kern Park Opening!
Wednesday, August 21st

Sims Road Entrance
Join us for the grand opening celebration of Kern Park! A ceremonial ribbon cutting will be head at the Sims Road entrance (parking available at 160 Ivy Drive) and will be followed by a tour of the park. New improvements include trail restoration, new trail system, educational signage and markers, reclaimed green space with pollinator gardens, and more. Kern Park was fully funded by the American Rescue Plan.

We're Hiring: Parks Maintainer
Summary: Performs general manual labor in the maintenance of City park properties and grounds. Includes operating, cleaning and basic upkeep of medium or smaller motorized equipment; mower/saw/broom/blower/cutter and any related equipment. Performs clipping, raking, litter clean-up, brush removal, bleacher or bandstand handling, truck loading and unloading, locker & bathroom clean-up, snow shoveling and sanding walks. Assist in painting, repairs, weeding, cultivation, planting, pruning, transplanting, fertilizing, watering and other similar duties. Operates pickup or similar light vehicle, riding/walk behind/push mowers, small tractor, etc., and performs preventive maintenance. Learn More

Stocks Playground
Teams of 4-8 participants are invited to participate in either the Recreational or Competitive Division. Both leagues run for 10 weeks with the last week being a tournament. Learn More

One of the most requested Jimmy Buffett cover bands in the country, Jimmy and the Parrots perform not only all the great Buffett songs you love, they also play new and classic rock ‘n roll, as well as outstanding original songs written by lead singer/guitarist Jimmy Maraventano. Their cover songs include favorites by the Beach Boys, Zac Brown, Jerry Jeff Walker, Harry Belafonte, and Bob Marley, among many others. The band truly appeals to all ages and all musical tastes. Splash pads are open daily from 11 AM to 7 PM (Memorial Day to Labor Day). Entrance to splash pads are free and open to residents and non-residents. Splash pads are located at Page Park (entrances on King St., Moody St., & Page Ave.), at Stocks Playground (located on Middle St.), and at Rockwell Park (entrances on Jacob Street, Dutton Ave. and Terryville Rd.). | | |
