Letter from the Director
Keep on Reading!

While we are always seeking ways to improve and transform library services to meet the changing needs of the community, we never forget that our roots lie in reading and literacy. Helping people to find their next great book to read is still high on our list of priorities.

To make the discovery process easier, we offer a number of readers’ advisory resources. For starters, you can pick up a current copy of the Book Page magazine in our lobby or view it digitally on our website at https://www.newmilfordlibrary.org/bookpage-online/. Book Page is a monthly publication that highlights popular new books, author interviews, and seasonal lists. This month’s edition features a holiday gift guide and Best Books of 2021.

To find out what’s new and currently on order at the New Milford Public Library, check out our Wowbrary site. Review our most recent titles or sign up to receive regular emails that feature new arrivals by your favorite genre.

If you are less focused on the latest and greatest and would prefer to explore titles that match your specific mood or interest, use your library barcode to sign onto our NoveList service. NoveList can help you to connect to your next favorite book by guiding you through lists and detailed preferences that deliver a nuanced selection process.

Finally, you can always ask your librarian for ideas of what to read next. Readers’ advisory is an essential part of what we do. Stop by or give us a call. We will be happy lead you to a selection of titles that will match your interests and keep you coming back to the library.

Happy reading!
