Please Welcome Our Newest Member, Belfast Community Media!

Belfast Community TV is Belfast Maine’s public access television station. Founded in 2006, and run by volunteers, this station is on the air 24/7 with a wide variety of cool homespun & international programs.

The station airs community produced programming at no cost, and loans video equipment to community members and organizations, also providing production and post-production advice and support.

Belfast Community TV programs can be viewed on the local cable television system on Spectrum channel 1301. Many of the Belfast Community TV programs are archived at Vimeo and are available for on line, or on demand, viewing. More and more people are watching on demand from their Smart TV’s, Roku boxes, computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones.

August Business After Hours

Every month our Chamber hosts an after hours event designed for members to casually meet and build relationships with business people from companies and organizations representing a variety of industries in our region. Our next BAH will be hosted by:

Belfast Municipal Airport

Wednesday, August 21, 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

22 Wright Brothers Dr., Belfast, ME

Airport Management has a commitment from the US Army National Guard to have a UH-60 Medevac there! Hoping to also have a US Customs/Border Patrol helicopter, either LifeFlight’s King Air or their A109 series light twin-engine Leonardo AgustaWestland helicopter, the Maine Warden Service aircraft, and some local aircraft out for display.

'Passy Pete' Anniversary Prediction on Labor Day

Passy Pete is the nautical New England lobster equivalent of the much beloved Punxsutawney Phil, the weather predicting groundhog of Pennsylvania. The first groundhog prediction was back in 1886. Legend says if he sees his shadow, winter will continue for another six weeks. But if he doesn’t, it will be an early spring.

He comes forth from the cool waters of Penobscot Bay to make his prediction every Labor Day! Beginning in 2015, the Belfast Barons are the official handlers of Passy Pete and the prediction scrolls. Passy chooses from two scrolls offered to him. Will it be six more weeks of summer or an early winter?

WHAT WILL IT BE THIS YEAR? PASSY PETE TELLS ALL!

LABOR DAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND @ 10AM, Heritage Park, Lower Main Street, Belfast

(And this year marks Passy Pete's 10th anniversary too!)

Chamber Cup Golf Tournament - September 6
