Public meetings go virtual due to COVID-19
Beginning April 1 and continuing until further notice, the City of Round Rock will host public meetings subject to the Open Meetings Act through videoconferencing, in order to advance the public health goal of limiting face-to-face meetings, i.e. social distancing. The meetings are broadcast on TV and online, and there is still opportunity for public input.

Survey: What we heard, what we're doing
Thank you to the 1,200-plus residents who completed the COVID-19 online survey we published March 23-25. We've written a blog post to break down how we, as your local government, are better responding to your needs and working to slow the spread of Coronavirus as a result of the information you've shared.

Charitable fund aims to help local small businesses
Round Rock Cares is a fund designed to support small businesses affected by the COVID-19 virus. While the long-term effects are unknown, community leaders recognized the need for immediate assistance and established this community fund to quickly and directly provide financial assistance to locally owned businesses in Round Rock.

To establish this fund, the City of Round Rock, the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation, the Round Rock Chamber and Dell Technologies each donated $25,000 to open this fund with $100,000. The general public is invited to support Round Rock's local businesses as they are able and grow this fund with a donation of their choosing. The total raised to date is $133,430. The total potential need could be more than $550,000, as identified through requests from more than 100 applicants.

Round Rock has always been community minded in making good things happen for our neighbors. Please join us now as our small business community needs us now more than ever!

Donations to the Round Rock Cares Fund, which is managed by the Community Foundation, a tax-exempt organization, are tax-deductible.

Need assistance or looking for a way to help?
The impact of Coronavirus on our community makes it even more clear that we are stronger when we work together (with, of course, at least 6 feet of distance between us!). Do you know someone who needs help or are you looking to give back to your neighbors in their time of need? The City of Round Rock has created an Assistance and Resources webpage with information to help connect people with the right resources.
