Public invited to new library ground opening
The public is invited to join the City of Round Rock for the grand opening of the new Round Rock Public Library, located at 200 E. Liberty Ave. in Downtown Round Rock on Saturday, Jan. 28. A ceremony with limited space and seating will be held at 2 p.m., followed by an open house to the public from 2:30-6 p.m.

Looking back on Round Rock's 2013 bond projects
The Round Rock Public Library is set to open its doors to the public this weekend, marking the completion of the final project from the City of Round Rock’s most recent general obligation (GO) bond program. Kalahari adding new outdoor attractions
According to Kalahari, the outdoor portion of the waterpark will be expanded by thousands of square feet and feature several new attractions. Round Rock City Council passed a series of economic development agreements with Kalahari in 2018, and the resort is already surpassing initial revenue estimates.

Junior Police Academy registration set for March
During the summer months, the Round Rock Police Department hosts the Junior Police Academy, a free, week-long camps to strengthen the connection between law enforcement and local youth by giving them a chance to see what it is like to be a police officer.

Black History Month Historic Bus Tour

The Round Rock Black History Organization invites you to celebrate Black History Month with the 2023 Historic Bus Tour, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25. Stops on the tour include St Paul AME Church, Veterans Park, Good Hope Baptist Church, Hopewell Cemetery and more. Ticket prices are $30 for adults and children, ages 12 and up: $15 for children, ages 6 to 12; $10 for children, ages 5 and under.
