The Chalk Walk Arts Festival is Round Rock’s largest festival for the arts, highlighting beautiful chalk masterpieces. This year's event will be held at the Dell Diamond, making room for more live music and activities for the whole family! Festival highlights: music, performers and more
|
Beautiful art always takes the spotlight at Chalk Walk, but there's plenty of live entertainment to keep you busy throughout the weekend. Here are just a few highlights:
Daytime community performances — Come see local acts and community groups perform on one of seven stages outside the stadium.
Evening concerts starting at 7 p.m.

Know before you go: top tips for enjoying Chalk Walk
|
There will be no shortage of fun for families at this year's Chalk Walk!
For the little ones, a dedicated kids chalking area and ride-on kids train will be outside the stadium, with a library STEM mobile, School of Rock concert stage, TapSnap photo booth and face painting tent inside the stadium.
And don't forget — by having the event at Dell Diamond this year, you'll have access to free parking, concessions (including food, beer and wine), water fountains and indoor restrooms.

Grab your dancing boots: Fall Music on Main begins next week
|

The City of Round Rock presents Music on Main Fall 2019. Featuring live music from 6 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday from Oct. 2 through Nov. 13 on the
Prete Main Street Plaza stage
in Downtown Round Rock. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and the entire family. Check out the variety of dining options on Main Street, grab a bite from food vendors on-site or pack a picnic basket to enjoy the evening of fun and music!

Round Rock named best Minor League town in U.S.
|
We're at the top of our game according to Smart Asset, which released its annual ranking of the best minor league baseball towns in the country — naming Round Rock No. 1.
The ranking has included Round Rock each year since its initial publication, coming in at No. 1 in 2015 and 2016, No. 2 in 2017 and 2018, and back to the top spot this year.

Final tax rate vote set for Thursday
|
The
Round Rock City Council
unanimously approved Sept. 12 on second and final reading a $444.7 million budget for fiscal year 2020 focused on delivering high value services, projects and programs intended to meet its strategic priorities in a fast-growing community. On Thursday, Sept. 26, Council will hold its final vote on a tax rate to support the approved budget.

Join Round Rock Police, Fire, and Wilco EMS for a chance to meet local public safety workers and see the equipment they use. This free family event provides a chance for kids of all ages to check out the Round Rock SWAT team, Traffic Unit, Crime Scene vehicles, Fire engines, Hazmat and a live vehicle extraction.
