Today's freeze in Round Rock: What to know
The cold front is here, and the National Weather Service has issued Wind Chill and Hard Freeze warnings for Williamson County. While there is no risk of precipitation in the forecast at this time, the City of Round Rock is urging residents to finalize any remaining preparations for freezing temperatures.

Trash pickup unaffected by holidays
Residential and commercial trash pickup, which is provided through Central Texas Refuse, will remain on its regular schedule through the upcoming holidays. Check out the link below for helpful tips regarding what can and can't go in your curbside recycling bin this holiday season.

How to recycle Christmas trees, lights
Unwanted Christmas lights can now be recycled through Jan. 31 at the Round Rock Recycling Center and several City facilities during normal business hours. Christmas trees can also be recycled at the center and will be shredded into mulch that is free to Round Rock residents.

Library closed until new building opens on Jan. 28
Today marks the last day that the current Round Rock Public Library is open to the public before it reopens Jan. 28 in its new building at 200 E. Liberty Ave. Digital resources will main available to cardholders during this time, and due dates on materials are suspended until the opening of the new building.

Collegiate baseball event returns to Dell Diamond
College baseball is headed back to Round Rock! For the fourth year in a row, elite-level collegiate baseball teams will compete for the chance to be crowned champion of the Karbach Round Rock Classic set for Feb. 24-26, 2023 at the Dell Diamond.

Council approves data center provider agreement
The Round Rock City Council voted Dec. 15 to approve a performance-based Chapter 380 economic program agreement with Switch, a data center provider currently building a new facility in Round Rock next to Dell Technologies’ headquarters.

Get some exercise with Round Rock Police Department's run/walk/jog. The leisurely-paced 5K takes off at 6 p.m. at the Fleet Feet running store next to the H-E-B at Gattis School Road and Red Bud Lane. It's free to participate and you can just show up — no registration necessary. Kids and dogs are welcome!
