Dell, Round Rock mark 25 years of partnership
Round Rock has a long, storied history of welcoming economic development, and its most well known success story is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Dell Technologies was recruited to Round Rock in 1994 , bringing economic benefit and growth to the community.​

Enrollment now open for Citizen Police Academy
Enrollment is now open for the Round Rock Police Department's Citizens Police Academy !

Drive a police car through an obstacle course, go to a shooting range, work a mock crime scene and more. Meet officers from the K9 Unit, Training and Recruiting, Dispatch, SWAT, Hostage Negotiations, Crime Scene, Evidence, Patrol, School Resource Program and Criminal Investigations.

Classes are held from 7 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays starting on Sept. 3 for a 12-week period.

See bike trails in a whole new light at Night Rider
Grab some glow sticks and join us for the Night Rider Family Bike Ride on Saturday, July 20 at the Rabb House!

This non-competitive family bike ride allows residents to explore Round Rock’s trail system at night. Bicyclists are asked to ride at their own, safe pace while enjoying lighting effects and glowing fun along the route.

Cost is $10 per rider during early registration ending at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 19, and $15 per rider on the day of the event.

Register your block party for National Night Out
Join in a nationwide celebration by hosting a party for your neighborhood on National Night Out!

National Night Out, scheduled for Oct. 1 in Round Rock, is an event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.

Register your block party, cookout or festival today to invite neighbors and local police to come together for an evening of fun and community building.

Repairs, upgrades coming to several local parks facilities
Round Rock City Council recently approved improvements at several recreational facilities and parks. Here's what you can expect to see take place in the coming months:

Shayla Dame Skatepark: September - November 2019
Repairs to the 12-year-old  Shaylah Dame Skatepark  at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center will include repairing damaged or worn concrete and handrails.

Round Rock West and Behrens Ranch Trail Improvements: July - October 2019
The Round Rock West Greenbelt, which is currently an asphalt trail, will be replaced with concrete to provide better durability. Behrens Ranch Greenbelt, which is a decomposed granite trail, will be replaced with concrete in portions that experience washout, on the westside of the trail located north and south of Behrens Parkway.

Rabb Pavilion Improvements: July - November 2019
Improvements to the Rabb Pavilion in Old Settlers Park will include installing a new pavilion, an accessible cricket batting cage, improved parking lot, concrete sidewalk, infrastructure for a future restroom, irrigation and various other improvements.

Clay Madsen Fitness Area: July - October 2019
Clay Madsen Recreation Center will receive a new fitness area with shade structure to replace the facility’s under-utilized pool deck. The new fitness area will host high-intensity interval training and suspension training.

ROUND ROCK EVENTS
Cornhole at the Golf Club
Beginning Wednesday, August 21,  Forest Creek Golf Club  will host its Inaugural Cornhole League on the Driving Range tee for ages 21 and up. Each of the eight weeks will consist of three games with teams of two to four players. Only two may play in each game, but players can substitute in and out between games.
