SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Get ready to groove to the music at the Summer Concert Series this summer! The concerts will be held at a new location, Main Street Park.

Join us every Friday from June 7 to July 26 from 6-9 p.m. as we kick off the summer weekends with live music and fun for all.
BIKE WITH A COP
Bike with a Cop is hosted by the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department's Bike Patrol. Each ride takes place in a different neighborhood/area of Whitestown to allow all kids within the community an opportunity to participate.
INDOOR PROGRAMMING
The Whitestown Parks and Recreation has many indoor programming opportunities for you to enjoy!

Get ready for an adventure-packed summer with the Summer Bucket List! We've created a list of exciting activities to inspire you to explore our beautiful parks and create memories at home

Each participant (18 and under) who completes all items on the bucket list will receive a color-changing Whitestown cup and two spins on the prize wheel to receive two coupons from one of our local businesses

Whitestown Parks and Recreation needs input from residents on what they'd like at the Giles Park Property (across the street from Main Street Park). Residents still have opportunities to provide input by attending upcoming pop-up events:

CALLING ALL WRITERS!
Join former Indianapolis Mayor and published author Greg Ballard at Whitestown Writers Group! The group offers a platform for writers of all backgrounds and genres to come together in a supportive and collaborative environment at the Hussey Mayfield Memorial Public Library in Whitestown.

The group meets at 1 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, attendees can share their work, receive feedback, and refine their craft alongside fellow enthusiasts.

Whether you're a seasoned author or beginning your writing journey, come to Whitestown Writers Group!
WHITESTOWN MUNICIPAL COMPLEX CLOSURES
The Whitestown Municipal Complex will be closed on:

  • Wednesday, June 19

IFD ELEVATOR TRAINING PROVES VALUABLE
Thank you to Fairfield Inn of Whitestown for allowing the Whitestown Fire Department to train elevator response and rescue with your elevators. Crews are now more familiar with the challenges faced by elevators and their operations.
NEW SHELTER AT ANSON ACRES
Check out the new Corporate Shelter at Anson Acres Park! The new shelter is larger than the other park shelters and includes 6 picnic tables.

The shelter is available to rent along with 5 other park shelters.

PAVEMENT PROJECTS
Using the Community Crossings Grant from INDOT, Midwest Paving plans to begin road resurfacing and related work at the beginning of June (weather permitting). All work is expected to be completed by the end of August 2024. There will be lane restrictions, but roads can be accessed throughout the projects. Below is a list of streets that'll be paved.

  • Main Street from approx. 230 feet South of E 230 S to E 200
  • E 225 S from Main St to S 675 E
  • E 230 S from Main St to S 675 E
  • S 675 E from E 230 S to E 225 S
  • Indigo Blvd from Albert S White Dr to Circle Dr
NEW PLAYGROUND UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT JACKSON RUN PARK!
The construction of Jackson Run Park is in progress! We look forward to the completion of the park and for our residents to enjoy the new amenity!
NEW BENCHES AT PANTHER PARK
Whitestown Parks and Recreation has installed three new benches at Panther Park conveniently located along the trail.
