Just in time for Mother's Day, Ralph's & Bayview Thriftway's beloved Chocolate Covered Strawberries are making a sweet comeback, starting this Friday, May 10 - Sunday, May 12.


You’re Invited to Build-A-Bouquet at Underhill Plants, on May 9, 10, and 11 just in time for Mother's Day! 


Olympia Family Theater and The Washington Center for the Performing Arts have performances all weekend for a special outing. The Olympia Farmers Market offers live entertainment and a variety of unique, locally-made gifts.


Another fun option is the Olympia Wooden Boat Fair, happening

on May 11-May 12 at Percival Landing Park, 217 Thurston Ave NW, Olympia.

This free event has all kinds of wooden boats on display, as well as a variety of vendors and live music.


Take Mom on a Sea Stroll: Historic Shoreline Tours on May 12 at 1 pm at 309 State Ave NE, Olympia. If your mom is into history, she may enjoy this fun walk hosted by the Puget Sound Estuarium.


Family Support Center of South Sound Mother’s Day 5K and Kids 1 Mile Run on May 12: 7 a.m. at Hands On Children’s Museum, 414 Jefferson St NE, Olympia. If you’ve got an active mom, or one who loves to give, the Family Support Center of South Sound’s Mother’s Day 5K and kids 1 Mile Run might be just the thing!


The Bigelow House Museum is open for visitors on Mother’s Day, May 12 with tours at 1 pm.


Ballet Northwest Presents Coppélia over Mother’s Day Weekend, May 10-12, 2024 with shows on Friday at 7:30 pm, Saturday at 5 pm and Sunday at 2 pm.

With every $10+ purchase, you'll a Love Oly sticker for your passport. Plus, the first 30 who turn in their passports will receive a special gift that includes gift certificates to some of the participating businesses!

The Asian Pacific Islander Coalition of South Puget Sound, in partnership with the City of Olympia and South Puget Sound Community College, invites everyone to celebrate Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander American heritage and cultures. Enjoy food vendors, performances, and activities for the entire family. This event's mission is to highlight Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander American communities, cultures, traditions, and experiences. It is free and open to all.

LoveOly Summer Fest 2024 includes a three-day street festival with live music, food trucks, a biergarten, fun children’s activities, and a vibrant Markers Market. 


This year, we've partnered with Quill Events to manage the Market.

Stop by the Goldberg Building and View the New Art in Storefronts Exhibit – “Community”

The Olympia Artspace Alliance installed the Spring 2024 Exhibit, “Community” – a new exhibition of artworks by local artists that will be on view now through July 2024, in the windows of the Goldberg Building at Capitol Way at Fourth Avenue, downtown Olympia. 


The exhibition features work from China Star, Kelly Watson, Daisy Curley and Aaron Zonka.


The Olympia Artspace Alliance invited Olympia-area artists to reflect on what community means to them and propose artwork that celebrates communities of all kinds, from our natural world and local connections to our global human networks.


Each window in the Goldberg Building features an artist:


China Star – “It’s Just Life After All” 


Kelly Watson – “Nested” 


Daisy Curley – “Healing Portals” 


Aaron Zonka – “The Members”
