Downtown Music in the Park Returns July 10

We are excited to announce the return of the beloved Music in the Park concert series to Olympia in July 2024! Presented by Olympia Federal Savings, this highly anticipated event promises a season of quality music that will have attendees dancing while enjoying beautiful Sylvester Park and the scenic views from Port of Olympia's Port Plaza.


Music in the Park is a free outdoor concert series that showcases local and regional musicians, bringing some of the best northwest musical talent downtown. Attendees can sit back and take in the outdoors while they enjoy live music in a relaxing and inviting environment.


The series attracts between 600 and 1,000 attendees per show, making it a popular community event. All shows run from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • July 31 - Creedence Revelation (At Port Plaza)

Don't Miss Music, Food and Brews at Summer Nights at the Port of Olympia

Get ready for an unforgettable summer experience at the Port of Olympia's Summer Nights at the Port! The waterfront will come alive with electrifying music, tantalizing food trucks, and a lively beer garden.


These FREE, family-friendly events are set to transform the area next to the Swantown Marina Boat Launch Parking Lot at the Port’s NorthPoint into the ultimate summer hotspot.


Sip on craft brews from Headless Mumby Brewing Co. in the beer garden, with all proceeds supporting ANEW, a nonprofit organization founded in 1980 to provide pre-apprenticeship training programs to the Puget Sound region.


And don't forget to savor mouthwatering dishes from local food trucks while grooving to the tunes of live musicians. All of this set against the stunning backdrop of the South Puget Sound and the majestic Olympic Mountains.

Community open mic

Thursday, June 27

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

An intergenerational community open mic night. We welcome any and all family-friendly music, dance, comedy, poetry, spoken word, or other talents. Performing is not required- audience members are encouraged to attend to support the performers! Refreshments supplied by the Friends of the Olympia Library.


ALL SUMMER LONG:

Summer Library Program is in full swing! We’ve got events for all ages, free books and tote bags, activity logs for kids, and for adults - an adventurous Book Bingo challenge, as well as a head-scratching Database Scavenger Hunt. Both offer a good time, and perhaps a prize come summer’s end! Stop by the Olympia or West Olympia Libraries to snag a bingo sheet or take a crack at the scavenger hunt clue for the week!
