In the spirit of summer and community, LoveOly SummerFest 2024 returns with much anticipation, promising a dazzling array of festivities that reflect the heart and soul of Downtown Olympia. Presented by MultiCare Capital Medical Center and Providence Swedish, this three-day celebration, running from June 21 to June 23, is the perfect family-friendly, kick off to summer —and, best of all, it’s free.
Prepare to be serenaded by a stellar lineup of musical talent. The festival kicks off on Friday, June 21, with the soulful melodies of Stephanie Anne Johnson, the charming harmonies of Amelia Day, and the compelling sounds of Bhi Bhiman, culminating in a performance by local favorites The Olson Bros Band.
Saturday, June 22, the main stage continues to come alive with performances by Fern Spores, Brittany Danielle, and Ethan Tucker, leading up to an evening crescendo with Waves Crashing and Oblé Reed.
Sunday, June 23, promises an entertaining experience with Brunch at 11 am, featuring the Queens of Diva Drag Brunch and delectable offerings from Chicory, Dos Hermanos Mexican Kitchen, and The Oyster Boys. Attendees can indulge in a variety of mimosa creations at the exclusive Mimosa Bar, perfectly paired with delightful treats from participating food trucks.
Throughout the weekend, families will be excited in a myriad of activities, including the beloved Pet Parade on Saturday, powered by the Hands On Children’s Museum. Gourmet food trucks will cater to every palate, while a well-curated Biergarten, featuring Well 80, Whitewood Cider, and Ilk Brewing, provides a haven for craft beverage enthusiasts.
Independent makers will showcase unique wares, adding a local flavor to the event. LoveOly SummerFest 2024 is more than a festival; it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and the vibrant spirit that makes Olympia a gem of the Pacific Northwest.

Shawna Hawk, M.A., founder of The Women of Color in Leadership Movement and director of Media Island International, in partnership with the City of Olympia, invites you to join us for the 2024 Juneteenth Celebration Festival on June 22 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Rebecca Howard Park.
There will be performances, presentations, and The Marketplace featuring a vendor area with Black-owned and operated businesses.

The Pride Parade is BACK!! Welcome to the most colorful celebration of love and acceptance! Our pride parade is a dazzling extravaganza of empowerment and solidarity. Picture streets adorned with rainbow flags as people from all of Thurston Country and beyond collectively come together to honor the beautiful spectrum of the LGBTQIA2+ Community. From activists to artists, from families, friends, lovers, and all allies, we unite under the banner of love. This parade is a testament to our diversity's richness and the strength of our unity.

We are excited to announce the return of the beloved Music in the Park concert series to Olympia in July 2024! This highly anticipated event promises a season of quality music that will have attendees dancing while enjoying beautiful Sylvester Park and the scenic views from Port of Olympia's Port Plaza.
Music in the Park is a free outdoor concert series that showcases local and regional musicians, bringing some of the best northwest musical talent downtown. Attendees can sit back and take in the outdoors while they enjoy live music in a relaxing and inviting environment.
The series attracts between 600 and 1,000 attendees per show, making it a popular community event. All shows run from 7 to 8 pm.

Underhill Plants Receives LoveOly Microgrant | |

Underhill Plants, a downtown gem, has brought even more beauty to Olympia with the help of a LoveOly MicroGrant! Thanks to this grant, they've commissioned a stunning mural by the talented Fern Tallos.
This vibrant addition to our downtown not only enhances our city's aesthetic but also celebrates the creativity and spirit of our community. We couldn't be happier to support local businesses like Underhill Plants in their endeavors to make Olympia shine even brighter!
Thanks to the support of LoveOly Micro-Grants, we've had the privilege of contributing to this amazing initiative. It's truly inspiring to see how these projects enrich the downtown experience for all of us.
Our Love Oly Microgrant Program offers grants of up to $500 per business to help fund small placemaking interventions such as new planters, a fresh coat of paint, or new signage. The program also offers the opportunity to use the funding for promotional events within businesses.
