LoveOly SummerFest 2024:

Featuring a Sunday Drag Brunch

In the spirit of summer and community, LoveOly SummerFest 2024 returns with much anticipation, promising a dazzling array of festivities that reflect the heart and soul of Downtown Olympia. This three-day celebration, running from June 21 to June 23, is the perfect family-friendly, kick off to summer —and, best of all, it’s free!


Join us Sunday June 23 for a Diva Drag Brunch! Delicious pop-up brunch options will be available from Chicory, Dos Hermanos Mexican Kitchen and The Oyster Boys. Additional brunch menu items from participating food trucks. Mimosa bar with classic and special mimosa drink options featuring Whitewood Cider and Three Magnets Farmhouse Ale only in the LoveOly SummerFest biergarten!

Calling All LoveOly SummerFest Volunteers!

LoveOly SummerFest 2024 is just around the corner, and we need YOUR help to make it amazing! Volunteer shifts are 3 hours long, and you can sign up for as many as you like.


LoveOly SummerFest Dates & Hours:

  • June 21: 3-9pm
  • June 22: 11am-9pm
  • June 23: 10am-2pm


Available Volunteer Shifts:

  • Early Morning Crew: Help with festival set-up, vendor load-in, and more.
  • Early Afternoon Crew: Assist with various tasks including booth sitting, information booth, and more.
  • Afternoon Crew: Help with set-up, booth sitting, biergarten, games/children's area, and more.
  • Late Afternoon Crew: Assist with various tasks including booth sitting, information booth, and more.
  • Closing Crew: Assist in closing the festival for the night.
  • Breakdown Crew: Help vendors load out and break down the festival.

June is Pride Month in Olympia! Immerse yourself in a whirlwind of inclusivity, acceptance, and sheer joy as we come together to honor diversity and embrace unity. From electrifying performances to thought-provoking discussions and everything in between, this festival is set to be a dazzling showcase of our community's resilience and spirit. So dust off your rainbow flags, unleash your true colors, and join us for a weekend filled with love, laughter, and liberation!

2024 Thurston County Pride Fest: Saturday, June 8, 10 am—5 pm - Thurston County Fairgrounds in Lacey. Live DJ, vendors, food, free crafts for kids to do, raffles, and lots more!


Save the Date for Music in the Park 2024

We are excited to announce the return of the beloved Music in the Park concert series to Olympia in July 2024! This highly anticipated event promises a season of quality music that will have attendees dancing while enjoying beautiful Sylvester Park and the scenic views from Port of Olympia's Port Plaza.


Music in the Park is a free outdoor concert series that showcases local and regional musicians, bringing some of the best northwest musical talent downtown. Attendees can sit back and take in the outdoors while they enjoy live music in a relaxing and inviting environment.



The series attracts between 600 and 1,000 attendees per show, making it a popular community event. All shows run from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • July 17 - Slainte
  • July 24 - Brittany Danielle
  • July 31 - Creedence Revelation (At Port Plaza)

Music in the Park is Presented By

Save the Date for Juneteenth

Save the date for Olympia’s Juneteenth Celebration! Shawna Hawk, M.A., founder of The Women of Color in Leadership Movement and director of Media Island International, in partnership with the City of Olympia, invites you to join us for the 2024 Juneteenth Celebration Festival on June 22 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Rebecca Howard Park.


There will be performances, presentations, and The Marketplace featuring a vendor area with Black-owned and operated businesses.

Olympia Artspace Alliance Seeking Proposals for Window Artwork Installations with the theme of “Solidarity”

Olympia Artspace Alliance (OAA) is seeking proposals from artists and artist teams to develop site-responsive, temporary, 2-dimensional and/or 3-dimensional art installations (including video) related to the theme “Solidarity”.


The artwork will be installed in vacant storefront windows in downtown Olympia, mid-August through mid-November, 2024. OAA is particularly seeking work that is innovative and will capture the attention of people walking through the streets of downtown Olympia.
