Tax changes and Local Church Giving
Discipleship Ministries Webinar:
Thursday, March 22
5:30 PM EDT
Few of us have seen changes to the Tax system as sweeping as those approved at the end of 2017 (to go
into effect this year and beyond). One area of great interest, impact and anxiety for leaders in the church is the increase of the standard deduction with fewer taxpayers being able to itemize deductions, including charitable giving. Some say the impact will be minimal, others say
it could be catastrophic for churches and other non-profit that rely on smaller gift donors. How can we face the future with faith not fear?
This webinar is provided at no cost thanks to your church's support of the World Service Fund!

Several Lay Servant Classes to be Offered

laypersons, Lay Servant Ministries of The United Methodist Church is a part of their faith journey as they seek a closer relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The courses offered in this program can help an individual on their personal faith journey or help prepare them as servants of leadership through the ministries of leading, caring, and communicating.
