Jason Moore to present
Guest Readiness Seminar in South Glens Falls
 |
|
 |
Jason Moore |
Please join us for a hands-on learning experience designed to help participants better connect and build lasting relationships with visitors, exploring the theme, "Five Things your Visitors are Thinking But Won't Ask." Presenter is nationally-known Jason Moore, author, speaker and worship coach.
It's been said that every church wants to grow. If that is true, are we really poised for growth in the way we treat and attend of our new visitors? While you wouldn't think so, guest readiness is one of the most important issues facing the church in this present time, and many churches have unintentionally become blind to their own realities.
Join us from 10 AM to 3 PM
Monday, April 30 at the South Glens Falls UMC, 15 Maplewood Parkway, South Glens Falls (12803) to explore this topic with Jason Moore. Local church group participation is encouraged!
Admission is $5, which includes a catered lunch. You can pay by credit card or check. If cost is a hardship, scholarships are available; we do not want to turn anyone away.
Please contact Carrie Boyer in the District Office for more information, adirondackdistrict@unyumc.org or (518) 480-4866.

When Easter Falls on April Fool's Day ...
Every Easter really is April Fool's Day. For three days, the whole world thought that hope and love were dead. But God came back - Surprise!" says the Rev. Jerry Herships
, pastor of
After Hours Church
in Denver, Colorado, and former stand-up comedian.
"God is the creator of comedy. God has to have a sense of humor when you think about it. Just look at the hippos, the giraffes, or the Kardashians!
"Add to that the fact that Easter is on April Fool's Day this year. It almost makes it twice as funny; like the resurrection wasn't already hard enough to accept. But seriously, I think Jesus came back saying, 'No, guys. I'm not kidding. It's me. I'm back. I have overcome death.' "
