News from the Middlesex Chamber - August 2021
Member Spotlight: Hoagland, Longo, Moran, Dunst & Doukas
At Hoagland, Longo, Moran, Dunst & Doukas, a New Brunswick-based, full-service law firm, being a good community partner matters.

And in order to be a good community partner, the firm must be reflective of its clients and the community it serves, according to Joseph V. Leone, partner and team leader of the firm’s General Liability practice group. Through its Diversity & Inclusion Committee, the firm seeks to educate, recruit and retain a workforce that respects and values differences among people.

“The committee reflects our commitment to ensure that fairness, respect and expansion of professional opportunity for all employees remain integral to our recruiting, education, retention and promotion initiatives,” Leone said.

Since its founding in 1977, the firm has opened additional offices throughout New Jersey and New York. Its practices range from construction to health care, environmental law to family law, along with additional business law and personal law practice areas.

Hoagland Longo’s commitment extends to giving back to local communities by supporting volunteer-based and non-profit organizations, such as the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce. The firm has been long-time sponsors of the Women’s Leadership Summit and the Annual Bernie Cohen Golf Classic.

“MCRCC programs and resources have allowed us to build connections and long-lasting relationships in our community that have been critical for business development,” said Leone.

The firm has also had a banner year, with a number of its attorneys receiving top industry accolades. Managing Partner Gary Hoagland was named to the 2021 list of Icon Honors by NJBIZ in June, among other business leaders in New Jersey, for their contributions to the state, both in the legal industry and within their local communities.

Partner Chad Moore was recently recognized as the 2021 Attorney of the Year by the New Jersey Defense Association at the NJDA's 55th Annual Convention.

Partner Nicole Grzeskowiak will be honored in September as a “New Leader of the Bar” by the New Jersey Law Journal, among other young attorneys who have brought notable achievements to the table during the global health emergency.

“The recognition that our most senior partners, as well as our junior partners, are receiving demonstrates the caliber of attorneys that we produce and ensures our firm’s future is in good hands,” Leone added.
