Join us tomorrow evening as we open a fun and colorful exhibition at the Millyard Museum that explores over one hundred years of posters that have informed Manchester’s citizens, from proclamations and health notices to navy recruiting and movie theater advertisements.

Path to the Presidency Exhibit
As the NH Primary season once again gets under way, here at the Millyard Museum we have opened an exhibit highlighting many of the presidential candidates who have visited Manchester over the last several decades. Come and see some of our favorite images of candidates campaigning in the Queen City, whether speaking to large crowds or meeting people one-on-one over a cup of coffee.

2023 Manchester Holiday Ornament
The Manchester Historic Association is pleased to announce this year's holiday ornament featuring the Pandora Mill and the Pandora sign.
The ornament features a colorized depiction of the Pandora Mill building (now UNH Manchester) and the iconic large blue neon “Home of Pandora Sweaters” sign that stood atop the building for many years and became a much-loved symbol of the Queen City.
Each year the Manchester Historic Association produces an original, limited edition brass-plated ornament that celebrates Manchester's history. These unique, detailed ornaments are handcrafted in the United States by the same company that makes the annual White House Holiday Ornament. They make perfect Christmas tree decorations or gifts for the holidays and for many other occasions. Each comes in a decorative box.
These ornaments are available for $28.00 in the Millyard Museum Shop as well as at the MHA Research Center. The 2023 ornaments, as well as a limited number of ornaments from past years, can also be purchased online.

Did You Get Last Month's
Manchester Trivia Question?

Last Month's Trivia Question:
What Revolutionary War hero, known as the “Father of American cavalry" is memorialized by a statue in Manchester?
ANSWER: Brigadier General Casimir Pulaski
Brigadier General Casimir Pulaski (1745-1779) was a Polish nobleman who served in the Continental Army under George Washington during the American Revolution. Pulaski died in October 1779 from injuries sustained in the Battle of Savannah. Known as the Father of the American Cavalry, he is celebrated as one of the great heroes of the Polish American community in the United States.
Manchester’s Tremont Park, the common bounded by Bridge, Union, High and Pine Streets was renamed Pulaski Park in 1933 at the request of the local Polish community who wished to honor General Pulaski. The bronze equestrian monument of Pulaski in the park was created by accomplished Manchester sculptor Lucien Gosselin, and dedicated in a formal ceremony in 1938.
The Pulaski Monument underwent extensive restoration in 2019 that included cleaning, repairs, and refurbishing of the bronze sculpture, the granite base, and the iron fence.
