Help Us Plan Our Big Milestone –

Forming A “20^th Anniversary Committee”

In August of 2024, ICCIE will be celebrating 20 years since its launch. We are forming a committee to help us plan our efforts for marking this milestone – not just for planning a special celebratory event, but for activities to occur over several months. If you are interested in joining this committee to help us celebrate our 20^th Anniversary, please contact the ICCIE office at info@iccie.org. We would love to have you involved!

ICCIE Graduates Its 650^th ACI

And speaking of landmark moments… we are delighted to announce that ICCIE has just awarded the 650^th Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designation. First launched in August of 2004, ICCIE has had a continuous stream of graduating ACIs, along with those obtaining the Certificate in Captive Insurance (CCI), and still others completing individual courses “a la carte.” In addition to the 650 graduated ACIs there are another 1,500 who have begun the ACI or who have taken individual courses en route to an ACI. The requirements to obtain the ACI (9 courses and 3 standalone webinars) are significant, and the completion of the ACI is a meaningful accomplishment — congratulations to ALL recent graduates (see the list below)!

Our 2023 “Fill The Fountain” Fundraising Campaign

Last year we first began a fundraising campaign asking individuals who have some relationship with ICCIE to help support its long-term viability with a small annual donation – with suggested amounts between $25 and $100. RRG Team

Since the launch of ICCIE in 2004, dozens of industry leaders have designed and led our courses. ICCIE students have been clear that the high quality of the faculty has been key to the success of the program. In 2007, ICCIE debuted a course on Risk Retention Groups (RRGs), designed and taught by three industry leaders: Jon Harkavy, Stephanie Mapes, and Skip Myers. All three have continuously taught this course until recently, a decade and a half later, when all three stepped away from our RRG course. We would like to recognize this extraordinary, dedicated run and to thank Jon, Stephanie, and Skip for their extended service to ICCIE. Thank you so much, team!

Remembering Evan Bennett

We would also like to mark the recent passing of Evan Bennett, an ICCIE instructor who co-taught our Reinsurance course for more than 10 years. Evan was another industry leader who devoted enormous time and effort to bettering captive insurance through his educational efforts. An extremely knowledgeable practitioner and a gifted instructor, Evan will be missed. Our condolences to his friends and family.
