Volunteers Needed for ICS Intramural Soccer

We encourage parents to volunteer at the Intramural Soccer activities. If you still need volunteer hours, this would be a good opportunity to tally some hours. Please let Laurie or Lei  know, or indicate that in the sign-up forms. Thank you.

Volunteering Update

Volunteering Alert

A recent check revealed that 192 Families have reported ZERO volunteer hours to the website!!! If you have been volunteering and have not had a chance to report your hours, please do so ASAP.

Thanks to the 35 Families who have met or exceeded their 30 hour commitment and reported their hours to the website.

The end of the year will be upon us in no time, and then it is very difficult to find opportunities to fill the 30 hour annual commitment. If you need help finding opportunities, please be sure to read the weekly newsletter - this is where the volunteer opportunities are advertised. You can also contact committee chairs directly if you would like to work with a particular committee. Their contact information can be found in the school directory, on pages 6-7 or at this link.

If you still need help identifying opportunities or have questions, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Anne James.

Reporting Volunteer Hours

To report your volunteer hours, go to the ICS PTSA website and sign in at the upper right of home page to access the Volunteer Hours Form. After you have logged in, click on Volunteering on the lower left, then click on "Volunteer Hours Form", where you can report the hours worked and view hours previously reported.

You will need to create an account and log in before you can access the form. Once you create an account, it takes about a day for that account to be verified and access permitted. If you have questions about reporting your hours on the website or have trouble with logging on, please contact Shafik Keshani.

Thank you in advance for supporting our school, staff and students!

Parking Lot Heroes Wanted!

Need some volunteer hours? Volunteers for the parking lot are needed! Please consider helping with the parking lot before school or after school. Your benefits: Volunteer hours, satisfaction that you are doing a valuable service to our community by keeping our children safe and admiration from ICS Staff and Parent community! Please contact Chris Lazoritz to volunteer.

To All Parents

Please exercise extreme caution in the ICS parking lot! Maintain a low speed and a vigilant eye for students and parent Parking Lot Volunteers. Their safety is in your hands. Thank you!

Attention Junior Parents

Please mark your calendars for a MANDATORY MEETING at the LWSD Resource Center on March 7th, 2013 from 7-9pm.

A great tradition at ICS is that, each year, the parents of Junior students volunteer at the Senior graduation ceremony, as well as the Senior celebration party. Being involved this way gives parents a sense of what their own students will experience next year.

At the March 7 meeting we will discuss volunteer opportunities (every junior parent will be expected to sign up for at least one committee), financial costs and venue for Graduation 2014, etc.

In the next few weeks you will be seeing more information on this; for now we just want to be sure that you have marked your calendar for the meeting.

Contact your 2014 Graduation Co-Chairs if you have any questions: Diane Davis or Cheryl McNerney
