Concord Launches Survey on Rent Stabilization, Just Cause for Eviction

Are you a property owner or tenant in Concord? The City of Concord has committed to the adoption of Rent Stabilization and Just Cause for Eviction ordinances by Dec. 31, 2023, and we're seeking your input through our online survey (available in English and Spanish).

To assist us in drafting Rent Stabilization and Just Cause for Eviction policies, we are requesting that tenants and property owners complete these surveys by Sunday, Aug. 20, using the links below.

A short presentation has also been included for your reference. The feedback received from the surveys will be presented to the City Council for their consideration of the Rent Stabilization and Just Cause for Eviction ordinances at a public City Council meeting that is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, Sept 5. Thank you for your feedback!

The City of Concord, in partnership with the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, has launched the second round of a $2 million grant program to help small businesses continue their recovery from the economic strain caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Another 207 grants will be awarded in this final round.

The application for the City of Concord's Small Business Reimbursement Grant is now open and will close on Friday, Aug. 11 at 5 p.m. Eligible small businesses that are still experiencing adverse financial impact originating from COVID-19 can apply for a one-time grant of $5,000.

Construction Projects in Full Swing Throughout Concord

With multiple construction projects happening at once, “cone zones” are seemingly everywhere and traffic can be slow. Thank you for your patience during this busy time.

Concord is fortunate to have so many roadway improvement projects happening at once – it is the result of a huge infusion of funds to tackle what residents have long said is one of their highest priorities: fixing the roads! Thanks to Measure V, the voter-approved, one-cent use and transition tax, the City was able to leverage these funds to launch a $115 million, five-year pavement improvement plan.

Some of the biggest projects happening now include the following -- click the links to visit the project-specific web pages:

Downtown Corridors Bicycle & Pedestrian Project

Meadow Lane & Market Street

Oak Grove Road

Residential Pavement, Phase A (various neighborhood projects)

Treat Boulevard

... and more!
