UNDER THE OAKS MARKET

HELP CLEAN UP MCGOUGH NATURE PARK

The City of Largo is excited to join our community partner, Keep Pinellas Beautiful (KPB), for the next Great American Cleanup event at McGough Nature Park on Saturday, March 30, beginning at 9am. This event aims to mobilize volunteers to eliminate litter and enhance the park and its surroundings.


Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and weather-appropriate clothing. Keep Pinellas Beautiful will provide all cleanup supplies. A water refill station will be available, please bring a reusable water bottle. Parking will be available at McGough. Following the cleanup, take the opportunity to explore the park's diverse wildlife and picturesque nature trails.

Looking for an exciting summer job? The City of Largo has fantastic opportunities for individuals aged 15 and up at the Highland and Southwest Recreation Centers. These positions are available from mid-May to early August, offering fulfilling employment that looks great on your resume, with most roles starting at $15 per hour. Open summer positions include:

Construction of Horizon West Bay which includes Largo City Hall is underway. As of March 8, 2024, work continues on the following tasks:


  • Underground Utilities Interior/Exterior Garage and City Hall
  • Garage and City Hall Interior Plumbing
  • Garage and City Hall Fire Protection 
  • Electrical Work at Garage and City Hall
  • City Hall Interior Walls 
  • City Hall Fireproofing 
  • Painting of Exposed Steel Structure
  • City Hall and Garage Mechanical Work


Road closures for the duration of the project include:


  • 4th Street NW, between West Bay to 1st Ave NW
  • 5th Street NW, between West Bay to 1st Ave NW
  • 1st Avenue NW, between 4th Street to 5th Street
