SHARE YOUR PRIORITIES FOR LARGO'S BUDGET SPENDING

How do you want your community dollars spent? Each year, community priorities help to determine how tax dollars are spent within the City of Largo's Annual Budget totaling nearly $266 million of local investment. This year, community members can provide feedback on budget priorities in the following ways:

  • Online Prioritization Tool: Take 10 minutes to complete the online survey (available in English and Spanish) and prioritize specific initiatives within the City’s strategic focus areas of Sustainability, Public Health & Safety, and Community Pride. The survey must be completed before July 25.
  • Share In-Person Feedback: Connect with City team members at the Largo Public Library (120 Central Park Drive) to discuss budget priorities, learn about recently funded projects, and share feedback through a quick interactive activity.
  • Saturday, July 13, 10am-12pm (Drop-in anytime)
  • Thursday, July 17, 2-4pm (Drop-in anytime)

For more information including past financial reports, upcoming Commission Meetings with public comment available, and other ways to learn more and share feedback visit Largo.com/Budget.

IMPROVEMENT AND REPAIR PROJECTS

Whispering Pines Manor

The construction project for roadway and drainage improvements in the Whispering Pines Manor Subdivision continues. Currently, work is being done to restore lawns and irrigation systems.

Lake Breeze Estates

The improvements to the Pinellas County potable water system are in progress. Current work is happening along 122nd Ave, affecting areas to the south on 104th St. N and 103rd St. N. The work also extends north of 122nd Ave into the Lake Breeze Estates Subdivision.

Esquire Manor

The water main improvements in the Esquire Manor Subdivision will start on Monday. The new water line installation will begin at 127th Pl N and 104th St, progressing east to 102nd St. After this, the contractor will move to 127th Ave and work east to 104th St. During this time, new water services will also be installed. This work will continue for several weeks, with additional updates provided as needed. Temporary traffic control measures will be in place, and local traffic will encounter contractor activities in the roadway and sidewalk areas.

Belcher Road Emergency Sewer Repair

The City of Largo is performing an emergency repair on a sanitary sewer pipeline on Belcher Road, located south of 142nd Ave N and north of Ulmerton Road. The City is coordinating with Pinellas County and the contractor to make the subsurface pipe repairs while maintaining traffic flow on Belcher Road. Due to the nature of the work, lane closures will be necessary for both northbound and southbound lanes. However, at least one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open. Sidewalks on the east side of Belcher Road within the construction zone are closed, and pedestrian detours will be posted. Temporary traffic control measures will be implemented.
